How do I get the eitc that I'm missing?

If you are eligible for EIC it is added automatically to line 27 of your Form 1040 when you enter the income you earned from working and information about your dependents (if you have any).   Perhaps there is something that disqualified you that you are overlooking, or perhaps you entered something incorrectly somewhere.
