Does the software have the ability to apply losses from the CA Los Angeles wildfires that occurred in January 2025 back to TY2024?

I lost personal property in the 2025 CA wildires. I know the IRS allows the carryback and carryforward of casualty losses, but the TT software does not seem to allow this.

    Yes, there is one point where you have to say the loss occurred in 2024. Otherwise, everything you enter on the 4684 is correct. It is the program doing an internal check and not related to your taxes.
