Question

Hello I got married in 2024. Do i have to file taxes for my spouse for 2023 or i have to declare my marital status.

    As you got married in 2024, you will only declare your status as married in your next year's tax return for the 2024 taxes.

    You may want to review this Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regarding other status changes that may have already occurred if you were living together in 2023.
