How to remove sale of principal residence inputted by mistake

If you are using 2021 online software, you can remove sale of principal resident by following these steps:

1. Sign in to your Tax return.
2. Select Find and enter principal.
3. Select Principal Residences from the search results, then select Go.
4. On the Sale of your Principal Residence step, uncheck the box Sale of principal residence , then Continue to save your information.
5. If you had entered information about the sale of a principal resident you will need to click on Continue and once on the Sale of Principal Residence Summary page click on Delete.
6. The following page you will confirm the deletion by clicking YES. Then continue.
7. Now the sale of principal residence should be removed completely.
