Question

I became widowed in Oct. of 2022, do I claim as widowed or married on my return?

    You will need to enter your marital status as it was on December 31, 2022. Therefore, your marital status would be widowed.

    Sorry for your loss, I also lost my husband in October. I still can’t figure out how to file for him on here, I’m finding it very confusing.
