Question

If my husband and I fill out the online forms together (we selected filing for myself and spouse), do we need to send at the same time?

    No, it is not necessary to Netfile at the same time. They are in fact two separate returns even if filed as joint spousal returns. You can go back into the return and file yours at a later date. Make sure to save each your confirmation numbers.
