My spouse and I filed our taxes together this year and I had investments so I had to upgrade to deluxe but my spouse doesn't have to. Why does it charge me for his too?

I needed the upgrade but my husband does not but it wants to charge me $19.99 for his upgrade too when it is only me that needs the upgrade.

If you prepare your return together with your spouse, then you will both will be using the same version of the program, and you will both be charged the same price. You can only prepare your returns in different products if you prepare your returns separately.
