Question

My spouse and I separated earlier this year. If my spouse decides not to pay his taxes owed for 2021, will I be responsible for his tax debt? I am unable to locate him.

Our taxes have already been filed for 2021. We were still married in 2021.

    No. Generally, people are not liable for their former spouses debt.
