i received a corrected 1099-div after i filed. Do i have to file an amendment? the total ordinary dividends is the same but the qualified dividends is $4000 less and the section 199a dividends is $31 higher.

    Yes, you will have to file an amended return for the changes to the dividends.

     

    Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.
