Amended tax refund received prior to original tax return
I filed on 2/15 and amended the week later to claim my son. I have not received my original refund however, my bank is showing the amended return is coming next week. Online it states the amended would take up to 12 weeks and would be mailed. Why am I receiving that before my original tax? I do not owe thankfully, but this is rather confusing with what’s online. Also the where’s my refund.. shows my original is still processing.. the amended doesn’t come up at all.
