Ammended return

I accidentally added a dependent on my efile return...I already ammended my return and it currently shows as Adjusted...my question is when can the other parent file with said child? Can it be efiled w the pin or does it  need to be mailed in?

The other parent can file a mailed return right now.

  • If the amended return is not yet processed both you and they will get an IRS notice.
  • You can then resolve the issue quickly.
  • Is your amended return is processed there will be no problem.

My ammended return as of Mar 21st says it's been Adjusted and within 3 weeks I should get a notice of the changes.. It s OK to mail in tomm then?
