Can we change from MFJ to MFS before the Apr 15th?

I already filed as MFJ, but we need to change it to MFS because we live in different states. How can we do it? Just refile the tax?

    You can amend to MFS if you do so before the filing deadline on April 15, 2025.  After that, amending from MFJ to MFS is not allowed.
