Question

Do amended due/refund amounts indicate the new total due/refund , or are they additional amounts due/ refund?

Before amend Fed due $6,151, State refund $1,675. After amend the TTax summary is Fed due $8,571, State due $4,241. Due I owe additional $12,812 !!!! ?

It depends. Did you pay the original amount due? If yes, did you tell the program that you paid? Review your federal and state forms to be sure they accurately reflect any payments already made. Your 1040x line 16 should show payments already made.
