Federal File Confirmation?

I just selected Federal E-File and went through all the payment steps. Selected yes to the info confirmation question.

It then moved to State filing without a confirmation that Federal had been filed.

I did not want to submit State at this time so I closed Turbotax.

Hes Federal been filed and when should I get a confirmation?

Did you get to the big button to Transmit Returns Now? If you stopped at state you may not have gone far enough. You can say not to efile state, like if you wanted to print it. Did you pay for the state efile?

When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile. Check back though your emails and spam/junk folder.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say?
