Hello, I need to change my direct deposit info before filing. It's has been changed since last year. Does anyone know how I can change it? I don't see an option.

I switched and got an actual bank instead of just cash app which is why I'm looking to change my information.

You cannot change banking information while your return is in pending, nor can you change it after the return is accepted. The IRS does not allow it.

Thanks for finding that article. I tried these steps 3 times and it did not allow me to edit/change the bank account number.

You have to go to Step 2 in the FILE section.

Hi - I ran into this same question tonight as I too needed to update banking info saved from a prior year to a new bank. I had to choose the third option which I believe said Other Refund Options - I recall it said something about a paper check or split accounts under this choice. When I chose this option and continued it brought me to another screen where it asked if I wanted to use my direct deposit from the prior year and here I was able to say no and enter new banking info. Hope this helps.
