Help.
I filed taxes as a couple, I only filed my husband's W2 and forgot to add mine.
My husband's was accepted and the amounts were paid.
So I had to make an amendment to add my W2.
I had to return 1200 to the Federal Government and 754 to the State of Maine.
I have already paid the Federal Government, and the State is missing.
My concern is: I want to pay this voucher online, but I can't, because when I enter all the information for the amount, the system rejects it and says it is incorrect.
I would like to know if I can schedule a payment at the bank for April 15th and send the amendment form by mail.

If the system is rejecting your payment related to to your Maine amended return, here are some options to help you schedule and pay your Maine state tax voucher:

Option 1: Pay Online via Maine Tax Portal

    • You can use the Maine Tax Portal to pay your state taxes electronically. Visit the Maine Tax Portal and follow the instructions to make your payment
    • If you pay online, you may still need to mail the amendment form to ensure all documentation is properly submitted.

Option 2: Schedule a Bank Payment

    • You can schedule a payment at your bank for April 15 and send the amendment form by mail. Ensure the payment is set up to be withdrawn on the due date.

    Option 3: Mail Your Payment

    • You can mail your payment along with the amendment form. Make sure to include the payment voucher (Form 1040ME-PV) and send it address located here:
