How do I track my amended return once it’s been accepted?

I made a return. Then I found a student aid form and added it to my return(amended), after I already received the money from my original return. I would like to know how I could check to see if my amended return is being processed, since it has been approved.

Do not expect quick results from amending. It can take four months or more for the IRS to process an amended return.
