How to "fix" without resubmitting return?

My return (done with Mac desktop Home & Business) was rejected because the AGI I entered for 2017 didn't match. Actually that's okay because I need to change other things anyway. The thing is, if I follow the online prompt to fix it, I fear it will just prompt me to simply fix that number and then it will just refile. Bottom line is I need to really just kill it, fix my desktop return, and then file. How can I do that?

Your tax return will not be resubmitted automatically when you make the correction. Just navigate to any section that you need to change, then go through the review/filing process again.
