How will I receive my amended refund

    It depends.  If you e-filed the 2024 amended tax return there was an option to have the refund direct deposited into your bank account.  You would have needed to enter the bank routing number and account number before e-filing the amended return.

    If you did not do this or you mailed the amended return then the IRS will mail a refund check to the address entered on the amended tax return.
