Is this a scam. The IRS cashed my check

During the past two hours, I have received an email from my grocery store to remind me that the deal on bananas is expiring, my lawn service has reminded me twice that they are coming to aerate, I am about to miss out on a sale on eyeglasses, TurboTax reminded me to file, and Jo-Ann Fabric is having a going out of business sale. I treated all of these emails the same way--I deleted them and did not let them mess up my day.
