Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities, There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals. Some states process returns quickly and some are very slow.

Follow the status of your MN refund in the Where's My Refund? system

Be sure to use the same information from your return:

Social Security number
Date of birth
Exact refund amount

You can check the status of your refund on the MN Where's My Refund? system. You'll need your SSN, tax year, and refund amount.

It’s been almost 2 months since I filed. I have gone on the tracker site for the state and when I enter my info it says it doesn’t match their records. I am entering the info straight from my taxes. This is ridiculous. That are quick to take our money but not give it back.
