Question

I keep seeing a notification in my CreditKarma app that says "Taxes In Progress". I already filed my taxes, and it is now past Tax Day. How do I dismiss this?

I used TurboTax Desktop this year to file my taxes instead of TurboTax Online. I at one point clicked the notification in CreditKarma by mistake to file my taxes, and when I tried to back out without putting anything in the only option I had was to "Save & Exit". I cannot seem to delete my progress, and it continues to show the notification "Taxes in Progress", It is now past the filing date; there is no reason why this should still be showing up, especially considering I *used* TurboTax to file my taxes. It's not like I can file them more than once a year. I have tried calling TurboTax support directly, and they redirect me to CreditKarma support. I have tried calling CreditKarma support, and they redirect me back to TurboTax support. I cannot find any information online on how to dismiss the notification, and I am getting very frustrated that I am being advertised a product I have already used. I can provide screenshots of what I am seeing. Please help!

You can ignore the messages.   If you know that you filed your tax return and the IRS and state accepted your returns, you are fine and do not need to stress over something you are seeing on the CK website.  CK is not sending anything to the IRS.

Thank you! Is there any way to dismiss the message? I find it very annoying because it constantly takes up the top portion of the screen regardless of where I am in the app:

If not, do you have any idea of when it will go away on its own? Please advise.

Sorry---I do not know if the message will go away or when.   But why keep logging in and looking at it?   It is doing you no harm.
