Something is unclear here.   Did you end up filing a 2023 return last year or not?   If your 2023 return was not ever filed, then stay away from anything that says "amend."  You do not amend a return that was not filed.  Amending is only done for a return that was filed and fully processed ---but that has missing information or a mistake to correct.

If your 2023 return was not filed last year, you can file it by mail now.  E-filing is closed for 2023.  Print it, sign and date it in ink, and mail it in.   If it is a joint return, both spouses must sign.

Only a 2024 return can be e-filed.  If you have six digit IP PINs for 2024:

If you have a 6 digit PIN issued to you by the IRS you need to enter it in order to e-file.  Go to Federal>Other Tax Situations>Other Return Info>Identity Protection PIN and enter the six-digit PIN.
