Question

I mailed form 8453 to the address provided on my tax return and sent within the 48hrs of e-filed. I just received the letter back with an Unable to Forward to address.

What should I do? I checked and the address is correct.

Attn: Shipping and Receiving, 0254

Receipt and Control Branch

Austin, TX 73344-0254

Use this address and resend.

Please see the attachment, I think it has the right address/information. irs.jpg

Try putting the mailings in another envelope and re-addressing and resending. That address is definitely the current address and there is no indication of a change from the IRS.
