I need to amend Form 1040-X to correct line 16 before I submit. Turbo Tax is not indicating a credit for the amount previously paid. How can I correct this

I paid underpayment penalty for 2023 taxes. Used annualized method in amended return to correctly calculate underpayment penalty. Turbotax is not indicating my 2023 original taxes owed as payed. I am due a credit now due to a lower underpayment penalty

If you already made the payment in the meantime, the IRS knows that you paid. The tax liability and payment information is aggregated in your tax account. You don't need to show the additional payment on the Form 1040X. Use the explanation area in Form 1040X to describe the situation.
