I’ve tried to file my ‘23 return since 10/2024 but the system delayed filing. On Jan ‘24, TT assumed the ‘23 data was for 2024. Now can’t access my ‘23 data. What to do?

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Start the 2024 online tax return by entering some personal information then click on Tax Home on the left side of the screen.

On the Tax Home webpage -

Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year 2023 and Click on Download/print return (PDF) 

The 2023 federal tax return can only be printed, signed, dated and mailed to the IRS.

Include with the mailed tax return all forms W-2 and 1099 which have taxes withheld.

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Once the IRS shuts down e-file for the season, your return can't be efiled and must be mailed in. You need to print, sign and mail your return with tracking - not signature.

You can go ahead and file your 2024 return. Be sure to enter zero for the AGI for last year since the IRS will not have time to get it entered and processed.
