Question

I would like to deposit my refund into my partners bank account. Can I just enter her account number and routing number when prompted?

You can only deposit it into an account that has your name on it.  So no, not to her account unless you are also listed on it.  Otherwise the bank will reject it and send it back to the IRS who will mail you a check.

No, if your name is not on the account, her bank's computers may refuse the electronic direct deposit.

 

In that case, the funds would go back to the IRS, and they would mail her a check to the address on her return, which could take several weeks.

 

Best not to risk it.
