Question

If using TurboTax Online (NOT the desktop version), where can you find a previous years Section 179 Worksheet? Keep getting an error for the K-1 Worksheet, line 24 Col 1

Looking that up takes me to answers for the desktop version (where you can find it in "FORMS".) Searching the previous years' PDF dump does not turn it up.

There is no Line 24 on the Schedule K-1 worksheet. What is the specific error you are seeing? Is it a missing Section 179 amount or one that shouldn't be there? Was it a carryover?

While there is a specific Section 179 Expense Report included in the TurboTax worksheets, it may not be included in the PDF of the complete return. This report shows each activity, a description, cost basis (if any) and the Section 179 expense. Is that the information you need?

On the form, it reads this:

Carryover Worksheet: Line 24 (1st col)- The total Section 179 carryover shown here does not match the sum of Section 179 carryovers shown on each activity. Please review your return and correct the carryovers on the individual activities so that they ass up to the total shown here.

The top of the form says, "Federal Carryover Worksheet page 3" and the only place I can enter any numbers is

Your first option is to delete the zero from Line 24 in the 2023 column.

The other option is as follows:

Review last year's return to make sure that the allowable Section 179 was allocated properly.

Specifically, you should check that in last year's return:
    * the allowable Section 179 on each activity does not exceed the total of the Section 179 elected for that activity last year, plus any Section 179 carryover to that activity last year, and
    * the sum of the allowable Section 179 on all activities equals the total allowable Section 179 shown on Form 4562: Section 179 Limitation.

If you need to access your prior year return, see How do I get a PDF of my return?
