The IRS says to allow up to 5 days due to variations in bank processing times/procedures.
However...did you have any TurboTax Fees that you chose to pay out of your Federal refund? If so, your funds go first from the IRS to an intermediary bank where the fees are subtracted. If you used that service, we can give you more details, and how to log into the intermediary company to check on the funds.
Once your return has been accepted (received) by the government, they take over the refund status update duties, since they hold the purse strings. The status in TurboTax will remain as "accepted."

Did you have the TT fees withheld from the federal refund and then the balance sent to your bank account or debit card ?
If so the refund needs to go from the IRS to the third party bank to your bank account. This process can take up to 3 business days or more.
@tamesha1029 This is an old thread from 2 years ago. Please see the answer in this other thread that will tell you how to check on your refund with the third-party company if you had fees paid out of it:
If you had no TurboTax fees, then the deposit involves only the IRS and your bank.
First view or print your return and look at the deposit information to be sure the account and routing numbers were correct.
The IRS says wait up to 5 days before contacting your bank due to variations in different bank processing times/procedures. You can ask your bank if a direct deposit was attempted and refused.
If after 5 days, your bank still says they didn't receive it, you can phone the IRS to verify where they sent the funds.

Listen to each menu before making the selection.
First choose your language. Press 1 for English.
Then do not choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions." It should then transfer you to an agent, but there is likely to be a long wait.
I usually use a speakerphone so I can work on something else while waiting.
The irs said refund was deposited 3/17/20 but my bank has no record. What do I need to do

The irs says my funds was scheduled to be deposited on june 24,2020. It was not. I checked with the bank and nothing. Checked back on irs site and date still says June 24

What is happening when Where’s My Refund? shows my refund’s status as approved? We’ve approved your refund. We are preparing to send your refund to your bank or directly to you in the mail. This status will tell you when we will send the refund to your bank (if you selected the direct deposit option). Please wait 5 days after we’ve sent the refund to check with your bank about your refund, since banks vary in how and when they credit funds. (It could take several weeks before you receive a mailed refund check.)
In addition to DoninGA's answer above, did you happen to pay any TurboTax fees out of your refund?
If so, there is another link in the chain that you can check in the meantime if you used that service to pay fees.
If you chose that option to pay the fees, after the IRS releases your refund, the funds go first from the IRS to a temporary account at an intermediary bank where the fees are subtracted. Then that intermediary bank sends the rest of the funds on to your bank (or card.) If you used that method to pay fees, and if the IRS has actually released the funds, we can tell you how to check on the funds at the level of the intermediary company (SBTPG).
Just looking for my refund let me know what's going on please.
No one can know anything specific in this user community about your refund, but we can tell you some things to check.
What's your story? We don't know anything about your situation, or what you have already done. So we have to start at the beginning:
First of all, if you efiled, are you sure your return was successfully filed and accepted? (If you used Online TurboTax, you can check at the Tax Home of your online account.)
If so, then what do you find at the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool?
Does it say your return is still processing, or does it say a refund has already been sent?
Did you choose to pay any TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund? If so, and if the IRS tool says the refund has been sent, it first goes from the IRS to an intermediary bank where the fees are subtracted. If that's your situation, and the refund has been sent, we can tell you how to check on it at the company website that handles that process.
