Question

Is it mandatory to send in documentation (including a copy of Social Security Card) if sent a request letter from the FTB Filing Compliance Bureau re EITC qualification?

My State and Federal returns have already been accepted, so I'm unsure if I choose to ignore the letter what will happen? I am traveling outside the country for a family members wedding so won't be able to provide the documents in time.

    Is this for the state of California?

    If yes, I suggest you contact the State of California Franchise Tax Board Advocate. 

     

    You may be able to FAX or submit the needed documents an easier and faster way.
