Is there a notes section where I can write myself a note and save it for next year?

Not aware of any, and have been using TTX for over 20 years (maybe I'm mistaken)

 

Print out your copy of this year's taxes....and put the paper copy in a folder along with your hand-written (or typed up) notes.
