Question

My amended tax return is showing new items as original. Netting a zero return. These items were not on my original return?

I added info for 1098-e and 1098-T to my amended return which were not on my original. TT is showing that these are on my original tax filing which they were not. What can I do? If I cancel amended return then return to it, it keeps the new items

You need to cancel the amend and remove the items. Then select amend, then add the items.
