So I wait until my 2023 amended return is processed before filing 2024 return?

I just filed an 2023 amended federal return and will be getting a refund. Do I need to wait for the amended return to be processed before I file my 2024 return? Or is it best to file for an extension and file my 2024 return once the amended return is processed?

If I file the 2024 return now, wasn't sure how to answer the question on the Oregon ASC state return, (Adjustments):

"Have you received a federal tax refund due to an amended 2023 return?"

"No" because I haven't received the refund yet? Or

"Yes" because I am due a refund?

You can file your 2024 return before your 2023 amendment is processed.

For the Oregon ASC Adjustment, you can answer Yes and the refund amount you are waiting for. This will prevent you from having to wait or file an amended return later.
