State Tax review error

When reviewing my Fed and State (Massachusetts) returns I get one CHECK ENTRY which instructs me to the State Name or Other Jurisdiction on the Credit for Income Taxes Paid to Other Jurisdictions Worksheet.    The Box A is check. And the STATE Name is highlighted in PINK  All other fields are blank and yellow.

I made NO payments to any other jurisdiction.  I select (No Entry) from the States or Other Jurisdictions list but it does not fill.  It stays blank and pink.  I am unable to uncheck Box A.

How do I solve this error?

    Please clarify your question.

    • Are their any states other than Massachusetts listed on the return?
    • You said "Name in Pink"  Was that AM, Some other state or blank?

Please contact us again to provide some additional details.

    • Are their any states other than Massachusetts listed on the return?   NO
    • You said "Name in Pink"  Was that AM, Some other state or blank?   NO   "Name" Box was blank and pink background.

I was able to determine that the form was more than likely generated due to FOREIGN TAX CREDIT.

I have currently deleted the form as it is not needed.  I was able to take the small Foreign Tax Credit as a deduction in Federal Schedule A.  This action allowed the review to complete and I am now ready to file. I hope.

    Thanks,
