Question

The "instructions" to amend State Return are confusing. After clearly indicating only a state return needs to be amended, steps take me to amend the Federal Return?

How can we amend a state return without redoing a Federal? The change is specific to our state and has nothing to do with Federal Return.

    After you click on the The IRS or state sent me a notice option, you should be able to choose the Something else option.   And then 2024 state.   At what step, in the instructions below, do things go awry?
