Question

There were errors to my original W-2 and I was issued another W-2 instead of a W-2c. Would this be an issue when I go file taxes?

The errors were: all the numbers (wages, taxes withheld, etc.)

No, it isn't an issue since you didn't file your taxes with the original W-2.  If you have already filed your taxes, you will need to prepare an amendment. Don't make any changes until your tax return is fully processed, which means you have received your refund or if you have a balance due, it's deducted from your account. If your tax return is pending, don't make any changes.

Once your tax return has been processed, you can prepare your amendment.

My concern is that shouldn’t I be receiving a W-2c instead of another W-2? I didn’t file taxes yet because I was waiting to receive a W-2c to avoid  delays.

Each W-2 is from the same employer. Wouldn’t I have to add both wages on each W-2’s?

Is the second W-2 for the same wages?   Is one marked as corrected or voided?   You may need to contact the employer if you were waiting on a W-2C.
