Question

turbo tax wants me to edit a document I deleted. How can I get out of the loop "fix the return"?

    Please clarify your question.

    • What dose TurboTax want you to Edit?
    • Do you mean you have the circle of death?
    • Or are you just trying to move forward?

Please contact us again to provide some additional details.

I was able to move forward by exiting my browser, deleted cache (history) and reopening turbotax.  The problem had been that I had scanned in several documents to let the program sort the forms. One form (1098-T) was from a previous tax year that I scanned by mistake. Even though I deleted the form, Turbotax kept asking me to fix the zip code of the sender on that same form (which was correct). Until I could delete that form entirely from memory, I was repeatedly prompted to fix this form and could not finish my return otherwise.
