Question

TurboTax says I've received my refund 5 days early. It says it will be deposited by the end of the day. Well it's now 1:07 my time. Where is my refund?

I'm In eastern Tennessee 37857i believe eastern time zone not sure just moved here.

Even with tax refunds, your bank may hold the deposit until the payment fully clears which can take 1-2 business days.

 

If you've checked your account and don't see the deposit yet, I'd recommend:

- checking again on Monday morning, as the deposit could have come in after the cut off to be posted on the same day and won't be posted until the next business day

- verifying your refund status directly through the IRS Where's My Refund tool

- contacting your bank about pending deposits if you don't see the deposit by Monday afternoon
