I am filing amended return to correct W-2, and now it's in Form 540X line A must be entered. The form just shows "APE" and blank space and then our names and social security. What does this mean? Why is there option to select no entry, yes, or no?
Line A is asking if you've been advised that your federal return has been, is being or will be audited.
Generally your answer would be NO if you are filing an amended return because you noticed you made a mistake.
