Where are you looking for the word "accepted?"

Did you e-file?  Did you click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”

When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say that your return was submitted.  The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected.  If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

    https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

If the IRS accepted it, what does it say here?

    https://www.irs.gov/refunds

Or does your account say “Ready to Mail?” Or “Rejected?” Or “Printed?”

FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE:

    https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund

    How it works

Where's My Refund shows your refund status:

    • Return Received – We received your return and are processing it.
    • Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown.
    • Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

Yes I have received it and it's processing and I don't know why it says I owe, I already paid it with a credit card and it's already been charged on my card.

I want to start taking my social security next month so I need to apply this month and the reason I'm waiting is I want to get this year in on my social security statement because my benefit will probably go up some and I don't want to file for it until I see if it goes up so I can get that extra amount of money.

@jimstamos "I'm not sure why it says I owe"

What is "it" that says you owe?  Do you mean your TurboTax account?

TT does not update after your return has been accepted.  Your account will always show the result of the return you prepared using the software.  TurboTax never knows if you received your refund —or how, when or even if you paid tax due.  Your proof that you paid your tax will be your own bank/credit card records.
