768 irs code with negative balance

 Do I owe Money? I have never lied on my return only change is I initially claimed my 3 children as dependents on my work firm but didn’t include my oldest on my return this year since he lived with my mom for 6 months. Please help. Now im afraid to use Turbotax going forward.

    No, you do not owe money.  Was your original refund a little under $4,000?  You are actually getting more money than you originally thought you were getting. It looks like you did not complete the EIC interview and the IRS saw this and is adjusting your refund to include the  EITC.

    Yes, the negative amount means that is a credit on your account.  This means, you will be getting a refund of $8,493 when it is processed.  You do NOT owe anything at all.
