It depends. If you are the sole member of the LLC, and you have not elected for it to be taxed as a Corporation ( S or C) then the answer is no. If elected to be taxed as a corporation, then the company has to file whether or not it has any revenue or expenses. If it is a multi-member LLC and has no income or expenses it does not have to file. The previous applies to federal tax. I believe some states (California) require an LLC to file regardless.
