If your form has a zero, leave that space blank in the program.

What are you leaving blank?  Column B?  If so, do you have numbers in Column C? If you did have an amount in column C or you think you may qualify for the Premium Tax Credit because your income is less than 400% of the Federal Poverty Level, then you would need to use this tool to find your SLCSP and enter it in column B.

If you did not receive the credit in Advance (column C), if you are certain you do not qualify for the credit, you do not have to file form 8962 or enter the 1095-A. Then you could Delete form 8962 and then NOT enter your 1095-A at all.

On the menu bar on the left that shows.

  1. Select Tax Tools
  2. On the drop-down select Tools
  3. On the Pop-Up menu select Delete a Form
  4. This will give you all of the forms in your return
  5. Scroll down to the form you want to delete
  6. Select the Form
  7. Click on Delete

Always use extreme caution when deleting information from your tax return.  There could be unintended consequences.

I'm having this same issue wherein I'm stuck on the "Check this Entry" page for the same thing, the information accurately reflects what I have with only the month of January having information and the rest being zeroes because I switched over to my company's health insurance. It seems to me like the "unintended consequences" could potentially mean trouble with the federal government over falsifying tax records if I simply omit this information as you've suggested in this thread. Do you have an actual solution that /doesn't/ risk landing tax filers in prison? Like, I don't know, maybe how to get your program to work properly and let me continue filing my taxes? There's only so many times I  can press "0" or blank out the "Monthly Premium SLCSP" section at the top and hit Continue before it's an extremely frustrating loop and a very compelling suggestion to use someone else's tax services. Just saying.

I'm having the same issue and it doesn't even tell me what month it is on and if you scroll down you will see how it's changing your form but not in the correct months.

I am having the same issue now. The program won't allow me to efile until I fix this issue but I am not sure how. How did you solve this problem?

Please see below for solutions to the issues with zeros on your Form 1095-A:

If you had two Marketplace insurances but didn't have the second Marketplace insurance all year, you can leave column A blank for the months you didn't have it.  Then columns B & C will not be an issue.

If you have an amount in column A, then the amount in column B can't be zero. You must enter the Second Lowest Cost Silver Plan (SLCSP). The SLCSP is the second-lowest priced health insurance plan in the Silver category that was available when you applied for insurance at Healthcare Marketplace.

You can use the Health coverage tax tool to figure to get the SLCSP if it is not on your Form 1095-A.

Healthcare Tool

The amount in column C can be zero if you didn't take a monthly subsidy to help pay for your health insurance premiums.

  • If you did get a monthly subsidy to help pay for your health insurance premiums, enter the monthly amount in column C.

See this article for more information about the Premium Tax Credit.

TurboTax will automatically fill out Form 8962 once you enter your Form 1095-A.
