form 8859 or schedule c or both

Hi,

I have a foreign business and have to fill in form 8859. Do I now also have to complete schedule c (form 1040)? Or is the 8859 with schedule c1 sufficient? Thank you for a short answer. 🙂

If you are filing Form 8858 for a Foreign Disregarded Entity, you will still file federal Form 1040 with Schedule C  to calculate any income and self-employment taxes due.  The two schedules, though having the same name and containing some of the same information, are quite different.

Form 8858 is an information-only return and not a substitute for your official tax return, Form 1040, and its associated schedules.

You can use TurboTax to prepare Form 1040 with ‌Schedule C, but Form 8858 isn't supported in the program.
