How do I right-off my ESC taxes (box 14 of W-2)? Have always done it in the past on schedule A, line 6.

ESC is Alaska's unemployment tax

still goes as taxes on schedule A line 6. you, need to get to deductions and credits section in Turbotax. also the cap on deductible taxes is $10,000

When you enter the amount from Box 14 on your W-2, you are asked to enter a category. If you choose Alaska Unemployment Tax there, TurboTax will automatically enter the amount on Schedule A. If you do not choose that category (you left it as Other), then you need to enter the amount in the Estimates (deductions and credits) section.
