My mother died; I’m doing her taxes. Do I have to take the small red fund?

I don’t want the refund and it’s less than $100;

Yes, you should take the refund. You simply complete Form 1310 and file it with your mother's final return. Make sure you entered her date of death in the Personal Information section. Next, because there is a refund, then you will need Form 1310.  

If not, they may send the check to the address on the return and in her name. We are sorry for your loss.
