Question

My Schedule E line 26 is $5,090. There the form says this number is to be added to Schedule 1 line 5. But on my Schedule 1 line 5 Turbo tax has $4,075??

I have been thru the review process at least twice and all is showing green. I cannot seem to modify the number on the Schedule 1 manually. Any suggestions?

If Parts II, III, and IV, and line 40 on schedule E apply to you, you combine lines 26, 32, 37, 39, and 40 and enter the result on Schedule 1 (Form 1040), line 5 . . .

Thank you MayaD! The second page of Schedule E is 10 pages of forms and worksheets below page 1 and I did not see that and thought those parts did not apply. I did have ~ $1000 on line 40 of Schedule E. So, it all makes sense now. I feel comfortable and think I understand all my tax forms and can file now.
