can i use turbo tax deluxe for schedule C. i am a nurse that receives 1099-NEC from hospitals. i also have some expenses such as professional subscriptions and uniforms. I'm trying to understand which turbo tax product I need to prepare my taxes whether it is the deluxe which I used for filing my 2022 taxes or the premium product

Online Deluxe cannot prepare a Schedule C. You need online Premium or any version of the CD/download if you have a 1099NEC and need to prepare a Schedule C for your expenses.

You cannot enter expenses for a W-2 job on a federal return.

thankyou. Just curious, is this a change from the 2022 deluxe program because that is the program I used in 2022 to prepare the schedule C income from the 1099-NEC and expense? I appreciate your insights and help.

Depends if you use the Online web version or the Desktop CD/Download installed program.

You can enter 1099NEC or Self Employment Income into Online Deluxe but if you have any expenses you will have to upgrade to the Premium or use any of the Desktop CD/Download programs. All the Desktop programs have the same forms, so you can buy a lower version. You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions.
