I claim all business income received from statements and then I receive 1099 NEC forms from some customers for reported income from them that i have already claimed.  I believe i must back that income out of my business income claimed on Schedule C.  Otherwise it will be claimed twice. Also my 1099 nec forms include sales tax which is not claimed as i come. Confused.

Yes, you are correct.  The IRS requires you to report all income received and nothing more. Use the appropriate link below based on the TurboTax version you are using to delete your Form 1099-NEC.  Keep it in your tax records with notes to indicate it is already included in your business income reported.

You'll need to delete this form --------------------.

    • If you're using TurboTax Online software and need to delete a form, click here.
    • If you're using TurboTax Desktop software and need to delete a form, click here.

Thank you.  I was hoping I did it correctly.  I would rather just remove it from my income total. That way there are no flags if my return is checked wondering why I didn’t claim the form 1099nec.

    thanks for your response 😀.
