Seeking clarification for what year taxes need to be filed for final business taxes: if I dissolved the business in the beginning of 2024 but did not conduct business that year, do I need to wait for 2024 tax season to file the final taxes? Or do I use the 2023 tax season to file the final taxes since business was conducted during that year?

No, you don't wait and file a 2024 return. If you did not conduct business after 12/31/2023, you may file a final tax return for 2023. This is the last year you will file a tax return (ie: final year).
